What started as a companywide June Food Drive expanded into a two-month Summer Food Drive event due to the great response we had from staff and guests! As of July 30th, Sun Realty offices donated a total of over 466 pounds to area food pantries in the Outer Banks. Donations included pet food, canned and dry goods, drinks, snacks and much more. A huge thank you goes out to all those who participated, especially the generous guests who dropped off their leftover groceries from their vacation. Becky Smith, one of Sun Realty’s Senior Associate Brokers, hosted a book signing today at the Roanoke Island Festival Park Museum Store. Her book is "Outer Banks Cuisine — A Sampling of Our Restaurants with Recipes", a 110 page cookbook featuring over 74 Outer Banks restaurants and their chefs’ favorite recipes. The signing was a great success; customers were especially delighted to taste dishes directly out of the cookbook. Some were even seen sneaking back in line for a second helping! Becky’s new cookbook can be found in many Outer Banks bookstores, restaurants and gift shops including Island Bookstores, the North Carolina Aquarium, Magnolia Grille, Black Pelican, and many more.
